Drugstore anti-dandruff shampoos are made with tar, whereas professional anti-dandruff shampoos use zinc as the active ingredient (the maximum amount allowable without a prescription).
We recommend leaving any anti-dandruff shampoo on your scalp for a minimum of three minutes for best results.

Psoriasis on the scalp is much different from dandruff. Most people with scalp psorasis have it on other parts of their bidy as well. Scalp psorasis may itch and affect your hairline, forehead, neck and behind your ears. The first step in treating this is removing the scales, we suggest rubbing Monat Rejuveniqe Oil onto the scalp then using a QTip to gently release the skin. You may also use a fine tooth comb or paddle brush. We have heard from a number of our clients that the Monat products (all infused with Rejuveniqe Oil) have cleared up their psorasis better than their prescriptions. Damage from heat styling becomes common in the colder months when we are using a blowdryer more often than air drying. Dry hear leads to static and damage.
