Professional (sold in salons) hair products are vital to maintaining your soft blondes, deep browns and vibrant reds.
Drugstore and supermarket shampoos are mostly water based – 60% water to be exact – while salon products have 40% water content or less. Some of our products (LOMA) are based with primarily aloe vera which is more healing and hydrating for your hair.
Less water means that there is a much higher concentration of active ingredients in professional hair care products- oils, vitamins, conditioning agents and high-quality surfactants- Professional products also use ingredients that are sustainably derived and sourced, more naturally based and higher grade. They are gentler on the hair (for chemically treated hair and maintaining colour) and deeper cleansing for those with oily/flaky scalps. They often contain UVA and UVB protection as well, which helps blondes from going brassy too quickly and your reds from fading overnight!
Professional hair products may be more expensive, but they also last longer. You need very little to go a long way. If you aren’t getting a good lather with your shampoo, all you need to do is add a little water and the suds will come.
