Did you know there is a right way to shampoo your hair?
Here are some tips on how to shampoo your hair properly:
Brush out your hair when it is dry.
before you wet your hair, gently start brushing out your dry hair with a detangling brush to remove any knots and tangles.
Make sure you THOROUGHLY wet your hair before adding any shampoo.
Emulsify your shampoo=MAKE IT SUDSY
Take a small amount of shampoo and rub it between your hands to activate the suds before putting it on your scalp. Salon professional shampoo is very concentrated (less water than drugstore shampoo) so if you are not getting a good lather, add some more water.
Scrub Scrub Scrub. Use your fingers and gently massage your WHOLE scalp. You do not need to scrub hard, just thoroughly. The most forgotten place to scrub on the scalp is the crown so be sure not to miss that!
Shampoo twice! You do not need to fully rinse out your first shampoo before your second shampoo. Gently rinse, and add another small amount of shampoo and repeat the steps. This is the shampoo that will really give you squeaky clean results. Thoroughly Rinse after your 2nd shampoo.
Wring out any excess water and apply a small amount of conditioner to the ends of your hair working your way up to the mid shaft of the hair. Let it sit for a few minutes, you can gently comb out the ends with a wide tooth comb if you find your hair gets tangled when wet.
If you are using a purple shampoo, do your first shampoo with your regular daily shampoo and use your purple shampoo for the second shampoo. Be sure to let it sit a few minutes before rinsing!
